The Warrior’s Leap

She stood where the known world ended.

Behind her,
a thousand voices
dressed themselves as love
and begged her to stay.

Be sensible.
Be smaller.
Be safe.

But beneath the noise,
there was another voice.

Ancient.
Bone-deep.
Her own.

It whispered,
If you betray me now,
you will spend the rest of your life mourning the woman you never became.

So she stepped.

because her longing
had finally grown
bigger than her fear.

The earth did not rush to catch her.
The sky offered no promises.

Still...
she did not turn back.

For she understood
that there are wounds
failure can never leave,
but regret always will.

And when history spoke her name,
it was never because she knew.

It was because she chose herself
before the world ever did.

That is how mountains are crossed.

One impossible step...

her soul was worth more than her certainty.

There comes a moment in every woman’s life when she reaches the edge of the known. Behind her is everything familiar… The version of herself built around expectations, comfort & what makes sense to everyone else.

Ahead of her is something she deeply desires, but there is no guarantee it will work: No proof, no perfect timing, no promise that the path will unfold exactly how she imagined… Only a feeling… A quiet but undeniable knowing that she cannot stay where she is forever.

We have been taught to believe that confidence comes before the action, that one day we will wake up fearless, completely prepared & finally ready to pursue the dreams that have been whispering to us.

The thing is, this is not how the courage works, courage is born when we move before we know!

Every woman who has changed her life or stepped into her power has faced this moment. She did not have more certainty than everyone else, she simply reached a point where staying the same became more painful than risking the unknown.

The leap came first, the confidence came later…

The wild woman within us does not wait for a perfect moment, she understands something ancient: nature never reveals the entire path at once… The seed does not know it will become a tree, the river does not know every turn before it begins to flow, yet they trust the becoming…

~ And so must we…

I know this because I have lived this leap myself. There was a time when, from the outside, my life looked exactly how it was supposed to look. I had stability, I had security, I had a long-term relationship of eight years… I had a predictable path that many people would consider “successful”, but deep inside, something was restless.

There was a voice I could not silence, a knowing in my bones that there was more… More than simply waking up, going to a job that drained my spirit, collecting a paycheck, paying the bills and ticking off the boxes of what I was told a good life should look like.

~ More than staying somewhere just because it was safe…

~ More than choosing comfort over aliveness….

Leaving that life was not easy, God it was so fck HARD!!!!! Walking away from a stable 9-5 and an eight-year relationship was terrifying!! I questioned myself, I felt fear, I wondered if I was making the right choice….

Was I scared? ABSOLUTELY!! But the calling inside me was stronger than the fear. Something within me knew that if I ignored that voice, I would slowly betray myself & that is something many women experience, but rarely talk about…

Sometimes the hardest thing is not leaving because something is bad…

Sometimes you have to walk away from the life that looks perfect on paper because your soul knows it is no longer where you belong…

I would like to preface this by saying that a leap of faith does not mean believing everything will go perfectly, it means believing that you will meet yourself on the other side, whatever happens…. Sometimes the greatest risk is abandoning the parts of yourself that are asking to be lived.

The dream you keep postponing.
The voice you keep silencing.
The woman you keep waiting to become.

There is a sacred moment when a woman decides that her soul is worth more than her fear, she stops asking: “What if it doesn’t work?” & begins asking: “What will happen if I never try?” THAT question changes everything…. Remember that the women we admire were never fearless, they were women who trusted themselves enough to walk into uncertainty…

They built before they had proof.
They created before they had permission.
They began before everyone understood.

So if you feel that calling inside you, that quiet but powerful pull toward something more, listen to it!!!
